After a playthrough it doesn't seem to imbalance or break the game in any way and makes me happy - so I think I will keep it this way. I have a Market-Garden scenario ready for playtesting that uses new para units, air units with double movement (1km/hex map) and double artillery ranges. This works...

The main reason we do not use windows file system is they are very ugly and look very cheap and completely ruin any immersion. If I ever see one in a game it's a sure sign of a budget product. You can flag a suitable artillery unit in the equipment file as ' para '.
I have done this for art units and engineers to create new para units.
