Re: OOB no longer works. ?

What worked for me during my last re-install was:
Install core
Update to 7.1.8
Activate the DLC serial numbers.

If you have a corrupt install or other issues, I would recommend uninstalling and restarting PC first.

Edit: Also, remove the My Games -> 'Order of etc' folder

Re: Deploy a AI commander

You can remove a commander from a unit, hit ' i ' to open the unit info and remove the commander from there.
And I think you can assign to a non-core units as well.

There was a reply on the forum from one of the devs about the Unity issue.

Ah Thank you ! How can I undeploy a unit ?
Select a unit on-map or in the deployed tab of the unit list, then click on the top of the unit list (the blank slot above the unit in the screenshot.
This slot has a small header 'Undeploy Unit'

Re: Deploy a AI commander

The AI won't deploy units, but you can script it.
So instead of spawning reinforcements, you may create AI units, undeploy them, assign commanders and deploy them later.

Re: Current Bugs - Version 7.1.8

Chill out.
The devs have stated that an update of the game engine Unity has caused some issues, mainly graphic ones.
I work in the editors and play multiplayer games every day without any problems.
Apart from the current issues, OOB is very solid.

No, you can only assign AI commanders to units that are deployed or in the reserve (undeployed) list.

The Belgrade and Metaxas scenarios were moved to the Germany West 41-43 campaign at some point.
Might I suggest they be added to both East & West '41 campaigns since they are mutually exclusive.
Good idea

7.1.8 multiplayer scenarios 'not installed'

7.1.8 multiplayer scenarios 'not installed' There are several mp-challenges where I'm 100% sure I have (my custom) scenarios installed. Still these multiplayer challenges are marked red on the server. At least one other player has reported to me the same issues. I can't recall having this issue in 7...

Re: Editing Scenarios from the Campaign Editor

A short-cut to open the scenario editor from the campaign editor would be nice, though. Similar to running the scenario from the editor. Then save the scenario, move back to the campaign, reload the scenario and carry on testing  But I guess the devs are busy with more important Ruskie matters...

I believe I have good results assigning a new skin to whole AI teams in my Afrika campaign.
But, as Bru said, there are several ways to skin this cat

Re: How do we forbid AI garrisoning?

Remove any supply in those flagged locations (and remove the flags). Put all supply in victory locations.
This should help. I used to put small amount of supply in just about every town. This caused the AI to divert units to those towns.

Re: Next DLC?

A Partisan specialisation would be nice, with a random/low chance of destroyed Soviet units being replaced by partisans. These partisan units would probably have to be assigned to a specific partisan AI team with search and destroy order probably targeting artillery and other 'weak defense' units.

Setting patrol points work, not sure how checking targets influence patrol movements.
