Re: OOB Confidence over Time

Horst, you aren't going far enough. In fact, I propose that they start writing 3 daily dev diaries and install cams all over their studios (bathrooms included), so that all the players get constant updates on everything including the number twos they do! Apologies if I went too far, but I personally...

Re: Unit Navigator Tool

Amazing- this new feature (and all the other ones) is basically everything I had requested like two weeks earlier. Given that the game has been around for so many year, I think this is a soulmate coincidence! Beers on me if we ever meet.

Also, well done!

Give yourself a break, bru! You seem like you could use a distraction after a burnout with OOB.

Re: POLL: Difficulty

Thank you! And yes, that's basically it- advance slowly with leap frogging your units, scout everything suspicious like a forest hex that the road goest through (though you cannot foresee every mine/foxhole), and rest your units before attacking. I think this strategy is something you learn as you p...

Re: POLL: Difficulty

Lol! Actually, it started well for me, but after the second turn, things started to mess up when my heavy infantry attacked from over 3 hexes away an anti-tank gun... Something seems to be getting messed up with these replays?

Re: Hidden fonctionalities AND ZOOM OUT FUNCTION

Some people (like you) find this functionality essential, others (like me) do not and haven't even bothered changing the typos in the file you found. When you work on a limited budget and time frame, you have to prioritise what you want to do- do you want new content? do you want to fix existing con...

Re: POLL: Difficulty

"Operation Cannibal" one was the slowest scenario so far! It was comparable to the grind of Blitzkrieg/Panzerkrieg, which certainly wasn't the case until now. Finished on turn 38 though the map continues till turn 42 for some reason. Anyway, nothing unusual about the mission except that it's really ...

Re: Hidden fonctionalities AND ZOOM OUT FUNCTION

Fingers crossed for a major patch where they fix all these small issues (and all the other inconsistencies in the units.csv). I was just trying to say that they've produced so many DLCs recently that probably haven't had a chance to catch up on the "patching" side of things due to budget constraints.

Re: Hidden fonctionalities AND ZOOM OUT FUNCTION

Why do you then think it's not fixed yet? Noone of the devs notived a topic from almost 2 years ago? Edit: I haven't been a coder professionally like you (though I code as part of work), but I work with coders even now as part of my job in what is called a "controlled" environment. Nothing gets chan...

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018

Your enthusiasm for this is contagious! I'm almost enticed to join in, but unfortunately I'm too scared of losing (too competitive). It's been too long since PzC and I've been playing OOB too much these days (can't be bothered to re-learn the nitty-gritty of PzC again as the games differ substantial...

Re: POLL: Difficulty

It's overstretching that forces me to restart most of the time too. Also rushing to capture stuff and then getting supply cut-off by silly unit I missed... Thankfully, in OOB, unlike PzC, you have a lot more turns to complete missions, so I try to take my time . This has actually had the opposite ef...

Re: Hidden fonctionalities AND ZOOM OUT FUNCTION

Agree completely that these things need to be ironed out before proceeding with more DLCs. Unfortunately, it seems the pressure of releasing DLCs every 2-3 months takes toll on other stuff that adds up gradually, as there's no time to fix and test everything. It's the testing bit that requires time ...

Re: POLL: Difficulty

As luck would have it, I am about to start the mission tonight with the following core: 2 british infantry, 2 gurkhas, 1 engineer, 1 heavy infantry, 2 crusader MKIII, 2 towed howitzer artillery, 2 bishop artillery, 3 spitfires, 1 tactical bomber (forgot name), and 2 air recons. Will update according...

Actually, you probably have forgotten bru as Blitzkrieg was awhile back, but the Night Witches (soviet female pilots with old planes; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Witches ) do have a commander! That's the only one I've met.

Re: Plane movement path

Seen this in all official campaigns and is definitely a bug. Doesn't happen always though and there are workarounds by setting the plane to fly a nearby hex instead. Occurs when plane needs to navigate a cluster of enemy planes that surround it. The pathing simply fails to account for 2+ planes. Pat...

Re: No reward for saving the 6th Army

Apologies for the confusion, I wrote a sentence with the screenshot that I had 29 CP of infantry that I hadn't deployed as there was no space, and I couldn't be bothered moving them from other side. I had 7 german infantry and 2 heavy infantry- not a fan of engineers (too squishy in open terrain) or...
