Re: Core dynamic a bit ahistoric

I wasn't really thinking of playing as the insurgents, although that would be an interesting addition.

I was more thinking of playing the Galactic Empire pacifying an area of a planet with rebel influence.

I realise you don't have the franchise, but you get my meaning.

Re: The Mecha mystery use

I usually end up with one tank, one cobra and one or two mechanised. I tend to use the mechanised for village management, while the Cobra and tank are used to attack the enemy. To me that sounds logical. I tend to get a decisive victory most tines on normal now. It that's ok. Sometimes I just like t...

Re: Core dynamic a bit ahistoric

Yes, the game seems to assume a very specific point of view, that: 1) The villagers (at least in that region) are generally positively pre-disposed towards the US and SV govt) 2) The US and their ARVN allies are generally the good guys 3) The VC and the the bad guys Of course, the war would have not...

Re: Future of Vietnam '65

I would like to see Slitherine use it's agreement to make a Warhammer 40k adaption of Vietnam. You could have imperial forces trying to stop a chaos incursion. The cultists could take the place of the VC. You could even have space marines as elite troops on both sides. Alternatively, you could build...
