Re: Victory conditions

Hi Richard, I can't get it to work. I do want a scenario length of 26 turns, but I was trying lesser numbers because I wanted to see if the battle would end at the deadline without having to play through so many turns, it did not. The turns remaining counter does not display either. I am using a cus...

Re: FLODDEN, 1513

Would love to take a crack at Ancrum Moor! BTW - It was a very nice touch, including the .txt files for the flags. A kind consideration for those of us who savour the small historical details Actually, the .txt files were only there to help me design the scenario, it was getting quite complicated a...

Re: Victory conditions

Thanks for that Richard, I have got that working now. Please can you also tell me how to implement a turn limit and how that is displayed on screen? I have entered these values in the scenario.bsf, but to no effect; FUNCTION PreBattleSetup() { // Set multiplier for unit strength reporting SetUnivers...

Re: FLODDEN, 1513

Paul, Thank you very much for this. Scottish history is a particular interest of mine and this looks to be fantastic. You do the details proud. I am going to clear my schedule and spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying this scenario. -R. (Macdonncadh). Thanks for your kind words. If you are inter...

Re: Victory conditions

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but once you have changed the Victory Conditions in the ScenarioTemplate.BSF, how do you get the new conditions to display on screen?

Re: I need to understand these things to make a scenario...

I loaded the editor last night after examining many of the crossbow skins and seeing bows on them, and I thought I could see the bow. Of course it was late and maybe I was mistaken. I placed a crossbow unit on the map and cycled through several skins and...I thought I saw it. If I did, it begs the ...

Re: I need to understand these things to make a scenario...

I was looking at models in the editor...as far as anyone knows, is the crossbow .s3f bug free? Looks very similar to the archers and the bow is visible. If so perhaps for know Paul could create Border Archers by using the crossbowmen as a model basis, editing the .s3f, .txt, and .dds respectively a...

Re: I need to understand these things to make a scenario...

I must be going mad, I was certain that the editor always used to crash, but as you say maybe something was missing somewhere before. I have been able to create new working .s4f files using the .s3f files which you gave me, the process is very simple. I have tried to fix the Archer .s3f file, but wi...

Re: I need to understand these things to make a scenario...

are the new unit graphics for the medieval mod accessible in the editor? I had to clone quite a few new units, so unfortunately they do not work in the editor. Richard has given me the 3sf files, so that I can do them properly, but the Archer 3sf file provided seems corrupted, it displays the flags...

Re: Musketeers in Le Roi Soleil period

I've just noticed that late French Pike and Shot do not have bayonet, yet in the Duty and Glory army list for FOGR they do. Is this an oversight, or has the teams view on this changed since Duty and Glory was published? Neither. They don't list Bayonet even though they have it, as the Bayonet has n...

Re: Extra Nations Campaign Mod

Thanks for your hard work. This will bring many hours of enjoyment. With the addition of the early Swiss and Burgundian army lists you can now start with the Burgundian Wars on the Wiki List of Wars. I was also happy to see a Swabian League army list, but unfortunately there is no complimentary Swi...

Re: Extra Nations Campaign Mod

Many thanks for the hard work you have put in. Wondering what other projects you have in mind ? Where do you find out about the Army lists. Are we coming to the end ? Certainly lots of choice. Thanks again for sharing your work. Pike and Shot is the PC version of the Field of Glory tabletop wargame...

Extra Nations Campaign Mod

My new mod, Extra Nations Campaign, is now available to download in game. It is a new campaign using the generic map from the vanilla Pike and Shot Campaign. It adds 23 new nations and dozens of new army lists to the game. Here is the campaign intro; “This campaign allows you to fight with armies th...

Re: Wars of the Roses Campaign

Yes, the Kerns are a bit useless in melee, but I have just discovered that the skirmishers are quite effective at skirmishing against the spear and bill units. They can usually evade any charges, and are quite manoeuvrable so can get around flanks etc. I find that the Retinue Longbow units are some ...
