Re: Why no Tours/Poitiers?

To be fair this is not so much a problem as an opportunity for scenario designers to use the editor to expand the number of what are lets face it really historical battles to fill in the gaps. The scenario design process for FOG II is more complex than FOG I so this will take more time (although Pau...

Re: So What about Multiplayer?

I wonder if first off it would be easier to play Empire battles in FG2 against another person of this was confined to hot seat games ?

Field of Glory : Great Invasions

I know that “Field of Glory Empires” is not even out yet but I think that its engine would be ideal for a remake of AGEOD “Great Invasions” game due quite some time ago and which does run on Windows 10. I love the time period but have never really got into playing it as I prefer my games to be turn ...

Re: So What about Multiplayer?

Perhaps 2 player exportable battles could be limited to situations where the relevant players main characters were with the respective armies. In terms of choice the option could either be limited to games in which only 2 players were taking part or where a option to allow them has been set and agre...

Re: Field of Glory II - The Wolves have arrived

Hi Richard
Thanks very much. These are really cool. It looks to me as if they would also be a better model to depict the elephants in the Sassanid army lists ?

The Road Ahead (going forward)

Hi All With the release of the Age of Belisarius module I wonder if we are a bit clearer about how the development of the game is going to unfold in future, at least to cover its forward evolution in time periods to cover the ground previously broken with FOGI and FOG1(U). Because it uses dynamic 3d...

Re: Field of Glory II: Immortal Fire announced!

This is really good news. Hopefully among the new models to be included with the module will be.

Howdahless elephant with Pikemen astride, Late Period Egyptian Infantry with oblong shield and spear, and 2 and 4 horsed Greek/Etruscan/Punic Chariots ?

Will buy on the day it comes out for sure.

Re: Eeek! Figures turning blue?

Hi Richard Thanks for you reply. Not done any modding but have changed the unit names. The units that I am using are effected. Armoured Noble Cavalry. Militia Thureophoroi and Thorakitai. Interestingly all 3 have a red themed default choice and a blue alternate texture. Also side O are the Saxons an...

Re: Eeek! Figures turning blue?

Hi All Had the same thing with the Romano - Britons in my Mons Badonicus scenario. Wonder if it something to do with the fact that the Romano - Britons get blue unit and leader flags. When you in the editor you can change the textures around fine but in the game (where the texture was available) the...

Re: Unit visibility in BUAs?

Hi Paul Thanks for this need to be able to do this for my Mons Badonicus scenario. However created this as a single player one and there is no scenario.BSF file in the scenario only a "MONS_BADONICUS_517AD.BAM" one. should this script be going at the end of the TXT1.TXT or TXT9.TXT file instead ? Ma...

Thanks Richard. Deleting the file the incorrect names are in and starting again seems to work quite well here.

Re: Scenario creation guide part 5 (Assigning Custom Unit Na

Hi Paul Thanks very much for this. If you make mistakes on creating your list of custom unit names such as typeo’s duplicate entries blank lines etc, is there any way of correcting them ? Also is there any way of importing a existing list made for an earlier scenario into another one ? Many thanks Ian

Re: Battle of Raphia

Hi Welk Great to hear it. A multi player version of this would be good as well. How many units a side do you think you are going to end up with ? What sources are you using for your OOB information ? I have a number of books with detail on this if need a hand PM me if you would like some source mate...

Re: Scenario creation guide part 2

Really appreciate this it makes things so much easier. Also it make me glad that I shelled out for the handback rulebook which I can have open on the desk next to the PC rather that having to ALT/TAB back to that as well.
