Re: Loyalty Increase??

check the tooltip for the region - that'll tell you why low loyalty but I'd guess you have too many slaves?

garrison only reduces revolt risk not increases loyatly

would suggest now is a good time to read the relevant sections of the manual 8)

Re: Hyping up Epirus ... a partial AAR

Well opening rounds went well, beat the main Athenian army and sieging Sparta (t37). But a quick look around puts my provincial issues into context. At least I co-operate with Damatia (I'd like an alliance), but Macedonia is scary ... I realise I've mentioned this before https://imagizer.imageshack....

Re: Wonder Buildings?

it will appear in your full list at some stage. They all have slightly different rules but usually you need to be able to build at tier III (so have at least 6 other buildings) in the right category. If I recall the Colossus is a commerce building. Equally you may need to shuffle a lot, but if you c...

Hyping up Epirus ... a partial AAR

So here's a not too detailed Epirus AAR. This is my second go in a row and its interesting how much varied. Here Aetolia attacked me on T2, dragging in their Athenian ally. Was happy about this as they are relatively easy to beat and have some high legacy producing regions. By T10, they were gone. B...

Re: Question about siege attrition

the D10 outcome is protected in that if they roll a 10 some attrition and/or a breach will occur regardless of the modified score.

now having said, there have been other reports of slightly odd results when an army moves out of a region, so I'd suspect the second set of damage may have been a bug?

Re: Ethnic, loyalty, unrest, and ideal pop size seems backwards

couple of observations. For various reasons I have become very slave adverse, so regularly sell them. In general rather be slow on building slots than cope with the unrest etc. I think you are interpreting some of the data wrong. Yes, your own pop caps out at 6 but many ethnic groups start at 4+. In...

Re: Capture of Province and no halving of decadence

Remember there are many parts to decadence. The penalty for taking non objective regions does not halve. It's only the penalty for holding the region (1 to 0.5). So on first capture this gain is lost in the short term conquest decadence

Re: 'Easy' Level - REALLY?!?

Reason to suggest Macedonia is you are the biggest Greek based power. With a decent starting army. You should be able to dominate Greece and Epirus so that is 3 rich provinces just by taking out the minors. War with Lysimakos should be a draw, maybe an easy win if they start to age (the Diadochi rul...

Re: 'Easy' Level - REALLY?!?

Hi I'd suggest Macedonia as an easier way into the game. You are the most powerful in your region and can choose your early moves

Re: Bohemii Celtic-Germanic question

its unlikely to crop in this game period, but there are some (deliberately) interesting target region chains for some factions .... like the Goths :D and the Saxons get an interest in eastern England

Re: Bohemii Celtic-Germanic question

Believe they were Celtic at this stage, they then invaded the Roman empire and a more Slavic group occupied their old region. Makes it tricky at the start but over game easier to manage than a German culture

Re: Issue with Rebellions

Yes, you need more. It both increases how often the sell decision comes up and how effective. Swap your message priority to average and you'll see this. You can also buy lots of nice mercenaries with the money With your current pop ratio, Tunes is going to have low loyalty and high revolt chance. I ...

Re: Issue with Rebellions

Now I have read that it will ALWAYS HAPPEN, when you play Rome as a Republic and have single regions , which have that support value BELOW 75 ... even if the revolt risk is 3% ... that is one of the worst game design decision in that game, no it is stupid , as when the rebellion occurred they even ...

Re: Capital Province?

The devs should implement an option to change the capital. I wanted my region capital in southern Iberia as Rome in the most southern coastal gold province, but instead it just selected an inland province, with next to no trade or wealth possibilities You can. Disband and it will rebuild in the reg...

Re: All my neighbors declare war to me ...

I am no expert in ancient times....but did everyone attack other people for the sole reason they were viewed as weak? Just seems there should be more to it... Well take the OPs example. The smaller Greek states are vulnerable as they share objectives. Carthage holds objectives for Numidia. So the A...

Re: Aging Rapidly!!

If you are in the lowest tier, it's 35% per turn. So on average 15 turns will give you 5 aging tokens. Some protection if you are in top 10 for legacy.
