Re: Trying to understand Panzer General 2
For Panzer General 2 this is the wrong forum. For Panzer Corps 2, this is the right forum, but the game is not out yet. For Panzer Corps, this is the wrong sub-forum (see link above), but I can offer some advice: You can press L after combat to see the details. So next time something similar happens...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4
Thanks for the explanation. I think it makes a lot of sense. Only one small afterthought: Earlier you say about overstrengthened units that "such units cost more prestige and slots than usual". So will an 11-strength bridge engineer cost 1.1 slots? That would add one decimal. And if you ov...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6
I just checked my core from the end of the Grand Campaign, and I have 5* units from all classes, except recon. I remember the AA took more effort, but my 8.8s always got special treatment :) I have one (captured and probably never used) recon in the core. I had more before, but at some point they di...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4
Do you already know how much finer than the old slots the new slots or "unit points" will be? I imagine the finest possible granularity would be prestige cost and the coarsest the old slots. But are the points even based on prestige cost? Currently the slot could be occupied by a 1000 pres...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #5
In the current game, major and minor victories also define into which branch of the campaign you will move next. If there are no more major or minor victories, will a victory always result in the same path, or do you plan to have other mechanisms to choose a different branch, like for example spendi...

Re: Combat Screen Detail
I think the calculations based on your example were all explained before. Because you talk only about suppression now, remember that "unsuppressed strength" in the context of firing back also has to consider the strength points that were killed, because obviously they can also not fire bac...

Re: Combat Screen Detail
1) Okay, that means that the prediction before the combat shows the "worst case" that all rolls for suppression are successful? No, the prediction shows the "average case". If you have an x% chance of suppression, the prediction assumes that x% of the rolls are suppressions. The...

Re: Combat Screen Detail
Initiative advantage does not suppress a certain amount of the enemy's strength. It gives you a chance to do so, but you have to roll kills and suppressions to make it happen. First thing that is done in combat is compare the initiative. The prediction assumes here, that you roll the same bonus (0-2...

Re: Five Star AA Units
What I remember from my xp experiments in the great campaign is, that I think you get more xp for a X:1 than a X:0 result. Of course you cannot force this without reloading a lot, so it is not useful for a normal game, but might be if you are hunting for one special achievement.

Re: Why the Canada hate?
Good to see that you found a way to get a fair price. It is strange if there are two ways to buy the game with different prices. If one is objectively always better than the other there should be only one. And otherwise there should be at least a hint that one should compare both options. As for the...

Re: Why the Canada hate?
Well initially the only thing I wanted to point out is that a (nominal) rate of 1 CAD = 0.75 USD converts to 1 USD = 1.33 CAD and not 1 USD = 1.25 CAD which you seemed to use in your calculations. I went to the Bank of Canada website and used their converter. You pay in CAD and Slitherine gets USD, ...

Re: Why the Canada hate?
Minor nitpick: With a conversion of 1 CAD = 0.75 USD, 9.99 USD equal 13.33 CAD, which is a little closer to 14.99 than the 12.49 you calculated. Still a difference of 1.66 CAD or 12.5% more than the US customer would pay. But it is really not that much if you consider the small total amount. Maybe t...

Re: Bug? - No special units in GC 40
According to the editor he looks for the presence of a unit that has "Flight" in its name, but it also says "Note: the game checks the unit name as specified by the scenario designer. If the player renames a unit, this will not effect the filter." I do not know if this is true on...
