Re: Error message Failed to fetch data from battle state: sizes

Roll back of the turn enabled me to load the game successfully...hopefully that sorts it. None of my other ongoing games have had this error so that is good. Also thanks for the prompt and personable support.

Re: Error message Failed to fetch data from battle state: sizes

Only this one so far. Going to try to load up with the rolled back turn tomorrow. If that doesn’t work I plan to coordinate with my opponent to start a fresh game. Will update here after seeing how it goes.

Re: Crecy 1346

French have the numbers so not sure if making the longbows weaker is a good idea. Liked this scenario versus the AI. Played the middle difficulty. Despite losses from the English volleys the AI seemed to have trouble stopping the French if you push through the flanks and secure the Wadicourt Road to...

Re: Error message Failed to fetch data from battle state: sizes

I'm getting a similar although not exactly the same error on trying to load a PBEM++ game. Kliszow 1702 scenario versus smjohnso77 Initial Error on CTD https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/3ee7/n3q31efthrda8wx6g.jpg Subsequent Error (after closing the first one) https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/56f6/q...

Re: Field of Glory II on GNU+Linux?

I've had no issues when I tested running the on Mac OS X with a wineskin wrapper....therefore I think for both Linux and Mac that WINE is a reasonably good bet with FoGII. However, that may change for Mac when Apple drops 32 bit support. Plays better then Pike and Shot which on some WINE versions ha...

Re: China?

Sengoku and it’s Mandate of Heaven expansion are great but they only cover late Ming and Qing along with the Japanese Sengoku Jidai period. So it is later then the FoGII timeframe. What OP probably wants is the Silk Road mod that Jomni (the creator of Sengoku by the way) made. That has Zhou and Han ...

Re: Anyone Have Any Success...

I've done it once or twice in medium sized battles but not consistently. Definitely, it is tough if the terrain isn't in your favor. The tips in that steam community thread are good ones. I think if I'm remembering correctly that the slaves get a decent amount of lower quality fodder units so in the...

Re: New DLC

While I'm excited to find out what is in the works. Definitely take your time and bring us another superb expansion. It will be ready when it is ready. :D Also if you release them all at once then there goes all of the intervening time I would have to play/attempt to complete other fine games. :mrgr...

Re: Pike & Shot Campaigns manual

@Hoplite1963 The printed manual I got with the boxed version of P&S: Campaigns is soft cover and covers just the base game.....aka the pdf Richard posted has an additional section covering the eponymous campaign features. The physical copy manual I have has section 25 as credits. A print out of the ...

Re: Expansion DLC menu backgrounds

Might be neat to release a wallpaper pack or something with them. The art is pretty cool on the launcher backgrounds and it would be wonderful to see the full versions. Another route to consider , although perhaps unlikely, would be to use them as steam profile backgrounds if FoGII ever gets steam t...

Re: Favorite Army

They are a somewhat tricky army to play especially against some of the more powerhouse army lists. Limited amounts of Pike but the Transylvanians do get a option for Haiduks (some of the nicer muskeeter type units) etc. in one of the modules at least. Additionally, a mix of Boyars (Armored Lancer, G...

Re: Favorite Army

I also think that the Huguenot French are fun to play as in some of the Tercio to Salvo scenarios.
