Re: Field of Glory: Empires is out

 congrats on the release. I read Iain’s and Temple’s posts about different storefront version discount options as well as the compatibility of the export/import battles functions and that answered my questions.

Re: What triggers an AI attack?

Yup. Hurl some stones, arrows or javelins at them. I find if you bloody them a bit they tend get moving. Haven’t dug into what actually effects whether Mr. AI advances though. But, most of the time the AI can be lured with lights or cavalry.

Also a reminder for those on the Ming side setting up games: large forces, open battle with pot-luck terrain

As mentioned above filter off

Easier to reference with it all in one place

Re: The Ming and their enemies - team event

@ahuyton PM sent. I'm flexible. If you want more variety then I'll switch to a different army since I know we have another Southern Rebels player. If you are ok with two Southern Rebels players with earlier and later lists then I'll stick with my initial choice of the Southern Rebels 1597 - 1598 (An...

Re: The Ming and their enemies - team event

I'm thinking of doing the Southern Rebels 1597 - 1598 (Anti-Ming) list for the first round. But if Snuggles wants to coordinate about which lists the Anti-Ming team goes for I'm open to other options. That Tibetan Rivals 1500 - 1589 (Anti-Ming) list also looks tempting but I don't think I am a good ...

Sci-Fi game sounds intriguing. Curious what you have in store for us. Empires is looking great too. So more on that will be good as well.

Re: New team event - are you interested?

Thanks for the update ahuyton. If you and the others want to start this week that suits me fine. But, if you'd rather wait and see if we can get some more players that is alright too. I did post a few messages on the FoGII and Slitherine Discord servers in an attempt to drum up more interest. I also...

Re: New team event - are you interested?

@ahuyton Are you still waiting to see if we can get more players for this? Maybe I can try to rope Richard Yorke or others into it AKA ask around and see if any folks that have Sengoku that I know are interested. Just curious how many folks do we potentially have so far?

@edward77 VOC ships? Junks? Is this the type of thing you have in mind :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1CcC2MIg2A Koxinga (Fall of Ming Empire & Dutch VOC in Taiwan) If there ever is a sequel to or additional expansions for P&S and Sengoku it would be interesting (not sure how feasible though) t...

Re: Problems with Steam

might just be the normal weekly steam maintenance. Tends to be Tuesdays afternoon/evenings but varies depending on timezone (your location). Valve operates off Pacific time so usually somewhere around ~1-3 p.m. Pacific time (but I think it sometimes varies a bit) is when the online log in or other s...

Supposedly it is in the works. We'll see if it made it into the Wolves at the Gate patch later today when the expansion releases.

Re: Unmovable ships ?

I'm not the game developer/designer but I believe the ships were setup as static props for the Nieuwpoort 1600 (Battle of the Dunes) scenario. They were never implemented as movable objects in the base game because they were designed to represent anchored ships from the Dutch fleet at this battle. h...

Re: Empires Apart heads into Beta!

@Kaisyatsy The game is already released and also is now F2P (Byzantines are the free starter civilization and the others can be unlocked via a purchase or earned through gameplay) on steam so if you are interested in it go check it out. It definitely has a Age of Empires type of feel with a few uniq...
