Re: Oxford Events 2019 - Colonial Sunday June 9th
Sorry, I cannot make this one, due to work. However, I do wish to enter my late-era Bavarians in the September round.

Re: Oxford events 2019 - Sunday April 14th ECW
If you are still stuck for 1 more nearer the time (say end of 1st week in April), let me know and I can probably persuade Patrick to play.tjelsworth wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2019 1:49 pm I now have 11 entrants for our ECW event on April 14. So, room for one more or 3 at a pinch if club colleagues are happy to make room.

Not available as this clashes with Helion's "Reason to Revolution" conference in Derby.

Re: Oxford event Sunday February 10th - European Rebels 1514 to 1576
Having the only true peasant army there..... What about Paddy? I think any Englishman will agree that us Irish always count as peasants! 8) From the safety of Haslemere, it looked to me like the Danish/Irish didn't really belong in the same tournament as the hordes of Dutch/Hugenuts, so kudos to bo...

Or better still, borrow them......benjones1211 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:52 am (And against Paddy his dice were superb, 6-7 out of 8 hits most times even at minus, should check his dice some time )

Re: Godendag 2020
I take it that this would not prevent the Oxford club from holding its annual ECW round in April, as well?

Two questions about Warriors
OK, a couple of questions:- 1) Does the "threatened flank" rule, as it applies to the 12MU "nervous zone" on either short table edge, apply equally to Warriors? 2) The rule on "moving by division" specifically excludes Warriors - however, can a single unit of Warriors &...

Re: Oxford event Sunday February 10th - European Rebels 1514 to 1576
Put me down for the April 14th, June 9th and September 8th events, please; the other two are no-gos due to date clashes. Will need to borrow an army for the June event (preference Hindu Indian).

Re: Oxford events for 2019
I am definitely available for the April and September events, possibly the June one too, if I can borrow an Indian army (prefer Hindu). Not February and October though (bad dates for me).

Anyone interested in Renaissance-themed dice?
My club (Wessex Wargames Society) has just obtained nine sets of bespoke Renaissance-themed dice for our "Average Joes" competitions; the list is set out below, along with numbers of surplus dice still available. The dice can be obtained in appropriate colours (white or yellow with black s...

In view of a previous misunderstanding with another poster on here (now resolved, thankfully), can I just make it clear that I had nothing to do with any of the above.

Re: Warfare 2018 - what theme?
It will be interesting to see if anyone enters an ECW army, now that the rules have been altered to make them less vulnerable. My memories of my New Model getting minced at Godendag 2017, by horses of superior cuirassiers costing 20 points per BG less than my NMA determined (to die hopelessly) horse...
