Re: Editing Save Games?

IIRC the saves are binary blobs, so editing them is unfortunately not practical.

You can already download the permitted content directly ingame. I am not sure asking people to pay for it as well would be eagerly received :)

Re: BA1 Editor Help

Campaigns should show up on the list if they are in the appropriate folder (CAMPAIGNS in Documents/My Games/BBCBA). Check that they have appropriate names in the TEXT1.TXT file in the campaign. I don't think we have seen issues with campaigns not showing up before, though not you may need to scroll ...

Re: Hotseat mode?

It's not actually a turn-based game. It is WEGO which means hotseat (while possible) is much less straightforward than for IGOUO.

Re: Battle Academy: iOS future?

Unfortunately we have no plans to update BA on iOS, mainly because we would also have to update all other live versions to maintain the multiplayer community, which amounts to more than a dozen SKUs to rebuild, test, and release. While the constant hassles with Apple have somewhat soured us on iOS v...

Re: 1 bug and 1 potential bug

Save names are not restricted to ascii characters and so the filenames are not what you type. There is a human-readable version of the user filename at the top of each file (they can be opened in Notepad etc).

Re: difficulty registering for multiplayer.

When in multiplayer go to My Games->Create->Create Skirmish. You can then change the Player Side and Enemy Side with the arrows for the 4 sides that are available if you have all the DLC packs.

Re: Do any mods actually exist??

Unfortunately the game design means that Sanctus isn't as mod-friendly as other games on the engine. So while there are a few great mods out there, the number is not huge.

Re: difficulty registering for multiplayer.

IIRC the DLC sides are only available in MP in Skirmish. You cannot play prebuilt MP maps with the new sides.

Re: replay old PBEM MP games

Something like that is one of the solutions we have been thinking about, but we want to make it a little more robust if we actually do it - otherwise it rapidly becomes of limited use given the relatively high frequency of updates.

Re: Some tips for making the game run better on older machines

Probably a long shot, as I'm still on Windows XP, but I would really like to buy FOG II if I was sure it would work on my 11-year old PC (it was a good one at the time, though, and still does all I want it to do - except run certain games). I enjoyed FOG I and I'm sure I would enjoy FOG II even mor...

Not having the system count hotseat games is a good idea, I will raise it with the server team.

Re: Panzer corps 2 release of console

In general our kind of games can't use the same UI and UX on console as PC. So it's not so much a port as a new version of the game. Add to that easier updating on PC and it makes a lot of sense to launch and hone the game on PC before trying to build the UI for console. As has been said, the engin...

Re: Hey Devs...Where are laser textures located?

It's not really practical to alter the values by hand - you would need to use the particle tool which I don't think we have released as yet, and even then you would likely struggle to change the shape of the lazer bolts. Sorry!

Re: Hey Devs...Where are laser textures located?

You won't be able to change the shape of the particles really. But the textures are fxtexturepage.dds and alphatexturepage.dds in the CORE folder, IIRC. You can reload textures when the game is running with CTRL+HOME.

Re: Hotseat?

FoG2 uses a much newer version of the engine which supports offline hotseat. BA and BA2 are oldergames and their codebase only supports hotseat using the MP server to accept your own game.

I have now (actually!) fixed the French Scouts achievement. Apologies to anyone going insane trying to get it - it would only randomly work. Should be solid now! Just replace the included BSF file.
