First you get another main building which boosts your early economy and second you get another city that grows population so in the long run you can have more buildings producing resources or units.

If you kill a unit with the Space Marine's Orbital Strike operation or with their Librarians ability Shock Wave (correct name? that AOE thing) you gain no Experience.

Just tested it again with two impossible AIs. Was a little faster with farming influence and research this time although I only found one Jokaero trader. You could argue the logic that a single Boy/Guardsman is such a small moving target or could be hiding his vital parts behind a random stone that a big Lascannon can't easily hit him in a deadly spot. Maybe it hits his arm or leg and it gets totally vaporized but that's not enough to take im out. A ...

My personal opinion is that the spies have been overnerfed with the rule that they stop when crossing a border. All other changes are ok I think but this one just makes them useless (when not in war and attacking the target with regular units as well).
