Re: Research for dummies?

What are those (numbers) then?
For instance in that video, he would (still?) need to put 913 beakers into Biology to get Xenobiology?
And 23 beakers in Automation to get Gravity Resonance Tank?

You already do? http://www.gamesring.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Research-Panel-Polaris-Sector.jpg EDIT : Ok, looks like you have to do some additions to figure out how much unlocking that particular Applied Science costs in the required Fundamental Sciences : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxCz...

Re: the inadequacy of the price?

StarDrive2 has been released with more bugs than an Opteris Hive and the balance of a Kulrathi ballerina.

Purchase questions

Hello! Is there a way to buy the Download Version now, and later upgrade to the Boxed version by paying the difference? Is there a way to delay the delivery of the Boxed Version? What if I have a beta discount coupon? And what happens when this coupon is in $, but I'm going to pay in €? Also, I'm aw...

Re: What's next?

It's not that revolutionary, just quite rare, and an excellent feature indeed. It greatly helped Sword of the Stars 1 multiplayer considering that the user base was relatively small.

Re: Field Training

Random strategy idea : capture a Queen, and use it's heal ability to still make this timing push.

Re: What's next?

Why would they need to be assigned to a city? (Of course, if they aren't, then they can't get the bonuses from facilities, therefore making them weaker in the late game).

Re: What's next?

CRAWLERS!!! Yay, that's a great list of new features, I see I did the right thing in supporting you by buying this game! * Credits, research and production territory features now provide a flat bonus instead of a percentage increase. Why this change, wouldn't that decrease the incentive to specializ...

Re: Growth discussion

Alpha Centauri did a great job of this. I remember selecting green economics for the sole reason because it reduced population growth and helped control drone riots. There was no point in reducing population growth in SMACX. If you ever got to the point where you mismanaged pop growth and ended up ...

Why not both start with Xenology, and have a (smaller than currently) - alien agression bonus?

Re: Growth discussion

Specializing cities already pays off if you plan your cities around special tiles. The buildings that give bonuses to a specific domain contribute to that, and this effect could be enhanced by removing the flat bonuses of those buildings, and maybe also making them a bit more expensive in production...

Re: Well this needs to change

Introducing a weird rule about roads not being usable in enemy territory to compensate for the shortcomings of the AI doesn't seem like good game design to me... Endless Space has this button that you have to click so that the queued movement of your units is executed. I thought that when an enemy u...

Re: Steam Release?

- Steamworks is much more than just DRM : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steamworks#Client_functionality And again, you can have Steamworks features like mod support, achievements, and such, without having the Steam DRM, like it's the case for Crusader Kings 2. - Depends what Steamworks features would...

Re: What's the limit for city territorial expansion?

Sticking with one city is fine as long as :
- You have not reached habitation limits.
- You have enough 3 mineral and 3 food tiles.
