Re: Help, a tide of Obelisks

Thanks. Competition is not fun for everybody, in a compete game often there is only one optimum strategy, and the fun is to aply it the more adaptativly possible. But it can be boring for (many) others who dislike being forced in only one way, or in a way that doesn't fit them. So, at medium difficu...

Re: Impressive game

Yeah, thanks for the comments, I thought this game was a Slitherine error (and I know I'm not alone to underrate the game). So I'm pleased I seem to be wrong.

Re: Help, a tide of Obelisks

Yeah that's a problem, necrons as so powerfull now that we can no longer play as we please, we must counter them by a sole strategy. No longer fun (end of the game).

Works for me..
Okay, after clicking the middle button, while keeping it pushed, you can scroll by going up or down with the whole mouse, I learned something.

you just set 2 fingers as middle mouse,
Yes, but middle mouse button has 3 functions: click, scroll up, scroll down.
Your 2 fingers trick does just the clicking, which is useless for the scrolling problem.

Re: Does the AI actually play to win?

the Necrons may well be OP, just not relentless enough. In the current game, the Necrons could have crushed me twice already, but twice retreated instead. They shy away from attacking cities, which should be their top priority. Okay, so the game cheats in the reverse this time, downgrading for we'l...

Re: Hero spamming

Yes, the total number of heroes allowed should be limited by the number of cities/enhancements we have.
Like you I play a minimum roleplay, I dislike spamming heroes.

Re: Sovereignty tested and...

The game engine in itself is quite good Yes, but there are still so many features to be tweaked, many texts, too much blocking bugs. it isn´t worth spending time on. It can be worth, if you are lucky not finding a too big bug. Or it could be worth, as what was 'corrected' last in the AI was not com...

Re: Necron AAR; 1.1.5, Hard

With the last patches, it's rather Necron is Easy (moreover for the AI), that's why you should try the reverse if you want more difficulty.

I imagine making the bar usefull (more visible and bigger),
and adding ingame the tip about the mouse, are both on your to-do list.

Re: How to Zoom-in/Zoom-out?

So it should be up and down arrow keys. With mouse it's scrolling on middle button.
But nope, zoom is not tied to keys (or maybe with shift, ctrl or alt?): up and down are y-axis on the map, not z-axis.

Humans always make at least a tiny mistake, so you'll lose. Errare humanum est.

Re: Does the AI actually play to win?

Then try on Medium, the Necrons wipes its neighbourghs (easily IG) and invades the map,
but you may still be right as I never finished a game, as I was sure they would wipe me next.

Re: Gladius - v1.1.3 is out!

- AI will now be more aggressive when fighting other factions. This might slightly weaken them in FFA scenarios but should be more fun to play against. That's the way. A perfect AI is only fun for its dev, the player wants to be able to win. A game AI must be given flaws, for different difficulties...
