Re: [Suggestion]Longer save file names?

The game already allows game save names to be up to 31 characters. Is that really not enough? What is your preferred naming system? I save in progress games with the names of each side, any special mod and the turn, so sometimes that's more than 31 characters. Of course I abbreviate where I can and...

[Suggestion]Longer save file names?

I've been tinkering around with various game setup with and without the RoAI mod and I'm trying to use the file names to keep track of what is what, but I'm hampered by the limitation of the length of the save name. Would it be possible at some point to allow these names to be longer? I realize this...

Re: AAR Egyptian 1450BC vs Babylonian 1594BC using Rise of AI Mod

In the end it was a crushing defeat, but it took quite a while to establish that. A final look at the field and the final tally of percentage losses.

Turn 20. In a last desperate attack the enemy destroys three archer units on my right flank, but their losses have pushed them to the 60% loss point.

Re: AAR Egyptian 1450BC vs Babylonian 1594BC using Rise of AI Mod

Turn 19 start. On the left flank it is almost all over. The two enemy are engaged by multiple units, but it will be that bedraggled chariot that will finally do them it by charging and routing one, and then in the pursuit charge and rout the other, all in the same turn!

Re: AAR Egyptian 1450BC vs Babylonian 1594BC using Rise of AI Mod

Start of turn 17. On the left flank the situation has reversed. My one Egyptian Close Fighter unit is on hand while the Massed Archers continue to shoot at the enemy, although they have been at Low Ammo for awhile. Two of my chariots also come to assist.

Start of turn 16, an overview of the field. On my left the enemy has pushed back my line and routed an archer or two. Things are getting serious. In the center my Egyptian Close Fighters are encountering resistance. On the right, a single enemy foot unit has advanced to attack my line.

Start of turn 15, left flank. The enemy is in melee with two of my archers. It might have been worse but my chariot is attacking from behind. Meanwhile a couple of Egyptian Close Fighters move in from the right.

Start of turn 14, an overview of the field. On the left the enemy attacks my archers, who are not close combat fighters and won't last long. In the center my Egyptian Close Fighters have now established two lines, facing the two enemy flanks. On the right the enemy still bides his time.

After my half of turn 13. With the enemy committing so many troops to his right wing, I finally let loose my Egyptian Close Fighters from the center of my line. They move to the left, center and right.

Start of turn 13. The crisis on my left flank continues as the enemy commits most of his Irregular Foot in that direction. My reinforcements await behind the line.

Re: AAR Egyptian 1450BC vs Babylonian 1594BC using Rise of AI Mod

Start of turn 12. His right wing is now advancing. With only Massed Archers there I am vulnerable, but I have little in the way of reserves. I'm moving two Massed Archers units towards the left flank, along with my sole Libyan Foot unit.

Re: AAR Egyptian 1450BC vs Babylonian 1594BC using Rise of AI Mod

Start of turn 10. I've moved my light troops in front of my battleline again as his light troops just don't seem to understand when to give up . One of my chariots has routed away, while another from the left is now also charging down the center between the battlelines.
