Re: Slitherine lands at GOG!
Yes, it's great news, really! Waiting impatiently for Slitherine classics (Legion, Spartan, Chariots of War) as well as shining novelties (Pike and Shot, Sovereignty, WH40K Armageddon) to appear on GOG (where I'd get 'em for the second time just for supporting Slitherine and GOG).

Yes. The modern situation in gaming industry in ten words. No time to make your product worthy of the price you asked for it (and GOT, I ask you to note!). Isn't it wonderful?

Re: WH 40,000 Armageddon on WinXP
Well, there are a few good games besides Armageddon that require Win7 to play, so I've made my gaming PC dual-systemed.
Nevertheless, there is a typo in Armageddon manual, it shows WinXP as minimal system requirement.

So where could I find it? I've found no place to download, neither on Proxy Studios' site nor on Slitherine's...zakblood_slith wrote:so just grab the patch

Re: Any ways to update OFF-line?
i've looked at patches and tbh not seen any on a FTP to share links, but as all are comprehensive, you only need one, so just grab the patch on any pc and keep a copy of it for other pc's to update. but yes you'd need to go online somewhere to grab it If there would be some file storage where I cou...

Any ways to update OFF-line?
Well, I just bought the modest PC with WinXP on board for GOG-style retro gaming (the main PC with Win7 is always occupied with my wife's online shopping and my daughter's cartoons... :D ) but it has no connection to Internet yet (and maybe never won't). It's great that Pandora works on XP, but now ...

WH 40,000 Armageddon on WinXP
My main PC with Win7 is occupied by my girls (my wife and my daughter) most of the time , so I just have only my retro-gaming PC with WinXP on board (for GOG games mostly)...
Any chance of running the game on WinXP? Panzer Corps does, so why Armageddon shouldn't?

Yes, the revamped v2.0 on 2D engine would be the one I'd grab without any hesitation!

Re: Illustrious Potential!
Actually, a steam version requires us to make changes to the game code before it gets uploaded to steam, so it's not the same as a non-steam version - we would have to maintain 2 distinct sets of code. Oh, then sorry for my ignorance! :? We, players, may be too impatient nowadays, just having forgo...

Re: Illustrious Potential!
Well, anyway you provide Steam with .exe and all other necessary files, and they wrap it in their installer with DRM-dung and so on, right? So what stops you from placing the same files on Slitherine servers at the same time? What kind of additional work and time can it take? I really can't understa...

Re: V1.08 game always crashes on Act 1 turn 1
Almost the same here, but I can't even finish the tutorial after 1.08 update. Autosaves are present (mine, Jaxxon's and Training opponent) but game crashes when it tries to autosave opponent's turn. I met this bug a couple of times while fighting Jaxxon, but reloading the game resolved the issue tem...

Re: Illustrious Potential!
A person on Matrix forums expressed this issue like that: Note to Matrix: I think it’s a real disservice to force your loyal customers to put up with a service they hate like Steam just to access the early release. The game should be available to run in non-Steam mode as well. http://www.matrixgames...

It sounds just like you regret that non-Steam very options even exist...Jekky wrote:As far as non-steam versions are concerned, there is administrative overhead in maintaining multiple versions of the game, which would take time away from developing and improving features.

Re: Illustrious Potential!
ONE YEAR? Holy Mother of Gods... But why so long? Can't you get all the necessary feedback, wishes, reports and such via Slitherine and Lordz forum? And keeping selling the game via Steam? Does it mean that Sovereignty will stay in rather "unfinished" state a year more?

Re: Illustrious Potential!
Thanks for a reply. As I said earlier, I did not, don't and will never use Steam-based stuff, so my wishes can be heard ONLY after the game leaves Early Access :) . It's why I asked about the estimated date of this leaving. I'd grab this game immediately IF there was a standalone edition without ann...

Illustrious Potential!
As soon as I saw that one of developers is Illustrious Software (guys behind this little elegant diamond "Conquest!"), I made a stand like a bloodhound. From what I could see from videos and previews, the potential of Sovereignty is really illustrious! :) So a couple of questions, if you d...
