Re: Need for greater historical accuracy for Indian Army Lists
Question - on the Hoysala friezes and elsewhere, you often see what appear to be unarmored riders on barded horses. I assume it's an artistic convention to sometimes depict warriors without armor that they would normally wear in battle, as the Greeks sometimes did?

Re: Setup suggesting: Adding auto-assign to commanders after selection?
You want the cnc in exclusive charge of zero units in fact, which can be done by shifting him to a unit that is under a subgeneral and then reassigning the unit he was on. Ah! Didn't think of that. Anyway, it would be nice to assign these fairly low-consequence and somewhat high-effort assignments ...

Setup suggesting: Adding auto-assign to commanders after selection?
Please ignore if I've missed a function that already does this. One small part of the game that I find a little tedious is reassigning units to commanders after setup. I'm not aware of any way to do this more efficiently than unit-by-unit. I'd be happy with an auto-assign button that just uses the e...

Re: Stop it with the Damn Rivers!
I think the bigger problem is that there is no disincentive to turtle on a defensible edge within the context of the particular 1-1 battle. Yes, in a tournament you get penalized for a 0-0 draw, but that seems like a game of chicken. Typically one side would find itself under some political or logis...

Re: Stop it with the Damn Rivers!
River or stream? I've never had a major river separating deployment zones. I think it was relatively common in ancient and medieval battles to have a stream (in FoG terms) running roughly parallel to the two armies. Pretty much any valley will have some sort of watercourse in the middle, even a dry ...

Worse-than-usual difficulties uploading MP turn to server, Aug 4
I have encountered this problem with several multiplayer games starting around GMT 0830 on Aug 4. The server does not seem to be accepting my uploaded turns after I move my units, forcing me to retry multiple times. It does seem to work on some attempts, although it might require me to abandon the t...

FoG access mysteriously banned in Kashmir-adjacent parts of India
I doubt this comes up very much, but if by any chance you are planning to do tournaments from northern India, here's a PSA: I was in the state of Ladakh, and I was unable to do any turns or even access the Slitherine website, from any device, to send DMs to my opponents. I could not also access the ...
