Re: Unable to connect to multiplayer server
Same here. It takes me 1 attempt to log into the FoG2 Wolves at the Gate or FoG2 Medievil. However, it takes many many many attempts to log into FoG Empires if I am lucky. After about 5 or so attempts I just leave and come back later, usually with the same disappointing results. This has been going...

Re: Southern League FOGR 2017 at Southampton
Actually , the original rules play well in any period and maybe the only changes that needed to be made are the ones incorporated here.

Re: Derby 2017
Big news at Derby Worlds 2017! There has been a change in the venue due to the Donington Exhibition centre being taken over and the new owners wishing to take Donington in a new direction. As such Derby Worlds will instead be held at Hangar 42 at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Lutterworth, Leicester...

Re: Better Armour - proposal (updated)
So, ok Later LXIV. Again what armies did these tend to fight against. Dutch/Spanish/later German states. In period lists as written in Duty and glory, the French mounted looks far superior taken as a whole compared to any of those lists. The thing is we tend to play pointed games to equalise things....

Re: Better Armour - proposal (updated)
The problem that we see is that it's not just the unhistorical matchups. Some examples: Louis XIV cavalry, widely reported as the best among their contempories, currently don't perform anywhere near that due to being unarmoured. 30YW Cuirassiers totally outperform the troops that replaced them, who...

Re: Better Armour - proposal (updated)
"Another area for discussion. A feature of the period of FoG:R is that armour fell out of use over the period - this is most clearly seen in the west, of course, however, it was also a feature in other parts of the world as well, albeit maybe to a bit of a lesser degree. In FoG:R we have better...

Re: Better Armour - proposal (updated)
The latest feedback we've had on this seems to support the last proposal. We'll be adopting it unless we hear otherwise pretty soon. How many games is this feedback based on. Across the last few years I've played hundreds of games and I never thought there was anything wrong with the armour rules i...

Yes, I second that.
Big thanks to our Belgian hosts and Simon plus all my opponents.

Re: Britcon 2016 12-14 August
Oh, I think you do protest too much and are fooling no-one. I'm pretty sure my lack of competition games in the last 6 months has dropped me way down the rankings. Looking at the field and knowing that Mr Avis is still due to throw his ticket in - My guess at top 3 would be John Munro/Hunter Hope/Do...

Re: The Worlds 2016
Morning Simon, Happy with that tweak......Would have loved that army you described if it was possible but I make no apology for my 2 Elite and 3 Superior foot plus friends which was in response to the mass Superior horsey armies led by the likes of you. I also like the army for other reasons but its...

Re: The Worlds 2016
i agree with Fabrice. Normally tournaments like the worlds are open book without many other restrictions. The army I had intended to use has also fallen foul of this in and I would have preferred this to be in bases. As my army was going to have 2 x 2 Hvy Sup P/p and 1 x 4 Ave Sup p/p. Now I cannot ...
