Client State diplo-exploit?
Ran into this clever use of the diplomacy system in a current PBEM game: Faction A (human player) is at war with Faction B (another human player). A has seized many regions from B thus far in the war after an opening offensive, but B is a fairly large power and can still fight back. A then asks Fact...

Re: Pocus - Medieval Empires?!?
Apparently, the wait is over! Hopefully more details can now be shared... More like getting closer, it was discussed in HOW 2022. Almost 400 factions that are playable..we'll see when that is finalized! The FOG:Kingdoms discussion begins at the 1:00:15 time mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1H...

Re: I have played this game for over one thousand hours
Steam has me clocked in at 411 hours, but that does not count the hours spent in non-Steam playtesting. I have no clue what those would add up to!

Defensive Spear vs Offensive Spear
Something I've been wondering about: Does a Defensive Spear unit have any defensive advantage over an Offensive Spear unit? Or is an Offensive Spear unit always strictly better?
This is assuming morale, armor, etc is the same for both of course.

Re: Series may go well with Reconquista dlc
Another recommendation in this area: The miniseries "El Cid" on Amazon Prime. It is in Spanish with English subtitles, but this only improves the immersion IMO. Great battle scenes, and the DLC has an El Cid campaign, so perfect!

I've had one of my own Fragmented knight units routed by peasants before (hides face in shame).

I did some quick testing, and indeed higher difficulty does seem to provide your opponent in Epic battles additional forces.

AI deployment issue on mountain map
During a preview stream of the Angevin campaign I had a bit of an odd battle. The map was an unusual one, which featured a large mountain completely dominating the left side of the map. Naturally, I anchored my left flank on the mountain. The AI Welsh, however, seemed to be unaware of the mountain, ...

Re: The Standard Wagon
Any thoughts about creating a stationary unit with the same effect as the Standard Wagon, and calling it a "Baggage Camp?" Make it a juicy target somewhere behind the opponents' lines?

Re: Field of Glory II: Medieval preview videos - the battle of Hastings.
I just played the Hastings scenario last night, as the English. I lost the battle due to 60% rout-age, but may have won the war ... thanks to a lowly fyrd spearman, William of Normandy will never be king!

No the dialogue seems to be fixed, its the open hexes actually being water hexes that is the issue.

The Dragon Isles mission, "water" terrain issues
I've run across a very buggy map in the "The Dragon Isles" mission of Empire Aflame. Many hexes that look like open terrain are in fact water terrain. The image here is but one example, the map is actually peppered with these mismatched hexes. Not only is this making movement difficult, bu...

Re: Probably unintended feature...
Given that a big part of player enjoyment comes from building better units over a series of multiple scenarios, *permanently* losing an experienced/expensive unit (that you have invested a lot of time/energy into) due to mechanic like this is a *horrible* design decision because the player could no...

Re: Campus Maritus
Hmmm, in the 310 scenario it is a Wonder that Rome starts with, which is why I didn't put it in the Guide. But yeah, Rome gets to build it in the 550 scenario, so perhaps I'll have to add it now ...
Anyways, as I recall it is a Tier I Military structure, so the option to build it should pop up soon.
