Re: Wargame Campaign Manager

The other option would be a hex version of Berthier. Wonder if Hexographer will evolve in that direction.

Re: Wargame Campaign Manager

You'd think that Advanced Tactics Gold would go some way to satisfy this requirement. It is marketed as a wargame construction kit; don't know about wargame campaign manager.

Best system ever. Still gives me a dry mouth and sweaty palms. Never properly exploited.

Re: War Game Construction Set

I love your guys games and I love turn based strategy Period, I like modding games as well and putting my own spin on somthing a creater made or adding a unit i thought might be great for the setting that was created. I see the RPG maker on Steam and i see the potential for a war game to marry with...

Re: next gen CC question

We've discussed the option to dump all the save file info into a text format, so that people could write their own editor / translation programs. Awesome! (as the say in North America) That would help a great deal. Obviously there would have to be some means of feeding the info back in again but yo...

Re: next gen CC question

"The game at two levels" is, I think, a great untapped possibility (dream) in the video gaming world. Those of us of a certain age will remember using an umpire and hex maps for operational movement with encounters being resolved on the tabletop with miniatures. Then there was the combo of...

Re: next gen CC question

The campaign system will likely be different. How likely is it that primitive air or naval transportation will be abstracted in? Obviously we already have the scattered initial set up designed to simulate arrival from above but the current campaign map system would struggle to simulate island hoppi...

Re: Expansions in space and time

Which limits would you like to see raised? 1. The duration of the campaign 2. The number of maps 3. The number of units Many thanks for even giving this consideration. MMCCPitF is obviously not a realistic proposition and neither is a 1:1 recreation of the Eastern Front. Low density operations are ...

Unity

Unity is a new and unfamiliar frontier. Would I be correct in guessing that it brings two advantages:

1. A ready-to-roll map editor
2. 3D symbiosis from and with other games whose engines may be entirely unrelated to Close Combat

?

Expansions in space and time

Panthers in the Fog out of the box will have 35 maps and I think I read somewhere that it covers 6 days.

Will modders be restricted to 35 maps and 6 days?

Re: So many questions but above all how is the Scenario edit

I'd really like to do a 1:1 version at some point, so if that's something you'd really like to see, please let us know. Yes, please. I don't think we could make all the maps for a company-level game with multiple divisions per side, unless we generated them automatically Automatically generated map...

Re: Upcoming Computer Games Wish List

Is the ultimate problem not that grognards are tight fisted and difficult to please? On the other hand disco-boys are only looking for visual effects and are easy to separate from their cash. Any company serious about producing simulations, as opposed to wargames, is always risking bankruptcy.
