Sorry to hear that. I will ask for that to be resolved.

Many happy returns Slitherine. Many thanks for the Field of Glory games and Pike & Shot Campaigns in particular.

Me too.

I would also like a game for the Napoleonic period.

Re: Auto Save

Would it be possible to add an optional auto save function to the game in future? It would probably be easier than saving my game manually after nearly every turn.

Auto Save

Is there an auto save feature for scenarios in this game? I was playing an exciting scenario when my computer crashed. I have an old PC which crashes every now and then. When I restarted my computer and charged up Pike & Shot I could not find an auto saved version of my last game.

England 1642 A Royalist pikeman was staggering home with a bottle of beer in his snap sack when he slipped and fell heavily. Struggling to his feet, he felt something wet running down his leg. "Please Lord," he implored, "let it be blood!!" A Royalist pikeman stumbles up to the o...

Re: Scenario Name

I've just found that you can edit 'fogsg' files with a free Microsoft editor called XML Notepad 2007. So you can change the scenario name using that - by renaming it at the top of the 'fogsg' files.

Re: Scenario Name

Thanks for your rapid reply. Unfortunately I tried to do that the other day. The scenario name changed in the Custom Game menu - but when I play the scenario I still get the old scenario name (top left corner). When I read the 'scenario0.fogsg' and 'scenario1.fogsg' files they still used the o...

Re: Battle of Civitate 1053 AD

I quite like the crusader-other/crusader-cav-turcopole-a figure for the Papal protected cavalry. Given that the other figures are armoured. I’m not keen on the crusader/crusader-Kn-knight-11-12c-a general model. It includes a long-haired sack-clothed pilgrim who looks like he could only be from the ...

Re: Battle of Civitate 1053 AD

You can edit the 'Battlegroup Properties' of whatever figure you want to use for your Papal Knights. If you use a figure which has its default 'Unit Type' as 'Cavalry' you can change it to 'Knights.' Then that unit will function as knights in the game. Surely?

Re: Battle of Civitate 1053 AD

I haven't suggested that you designate the Papal knights as cavalry rather than knights. I only suggested a change in the figurine used.
