I posted this quite a while ago and, while it received a lot of views, it got no responses from other players or Shenandoah/Slitherine... If this is reflective of the approach of "new Shenandoah", I plan to take stock of that with all forthcoming releases. +1 Some of these suggested edits...

Crickets chirping... With March to Glory release announced for April 12, perhaps some Shenandoah effort will be redirected back to Gettysburg? I played some again a few days ago and got frustrated with the excessive casualties on Day 1. IMHO I think a modest reduction in casualties and perhaps a mod...

Hi, there will be an update in the next months. Right now we're not actively working on the game... It would be nice to see another update or two. The game is beautiful but still needs improvements and enhancements. I would agree play balance needs attention, but not sure if it's balance itself or ...

I have not seen any autoscrolling on the regular PC version.

I am still seeing some unnecessary map shifts in the latest v1.4 update, like when selecting some units on the map causes the map to shift to the Corps entry hex. It's a little annoying.

I've gotten into Day 2 playing both sides on 2 stars difficulty. Still haven't made it to Day 3 for either side, and I haven't tried 3 stars yet. The Union needs to be a bit aggressive with I Corps forward of Gettysburg and holding Gettysburg for a while. Also protect the Cav, and use them later on ...

The Union victory requires a VP advantage, so this mechanic is already built in and could easily be manipulated for alternative victory conditions. Two comments playing v1.03. There is still a screen centering issue when selecting a unit on the map; sometimes the map shifts toward the corps entry point rather than on the selected unit. Recommend centering on a selected unit if on the map, and on the entry point for a selected reinforcement. The...

It is strange that I can see what units belong to an organisation before they move but not after. Consider highlight units in same organisation or keep the darker hexshade after they move. +1 It would be helpful to highlight all corps units whenever one of its units is selected, before or after the...

I am able to access the forum fine if I am logged out. However, if I log in then I cannot access the forum to post. If I log out, return and select Post A Reply, I am prompted to log in and then I am able to post a reply. Like I just did here. Odd. Something needs to be fixed.

That said, just as FoW can be a good thing, sometimes it can also be the opposite. I have played many games where an enemy's presence became apparent only just prior to him starting to crawl into my pants. So if done, beware of Jack-in-the-Box effects. My prefered solution, if FoW is to be a realit...

I completed a game with v1.02 today. Got a Union victory at end of Day 2 on easiest difficulty. Overall very nice. One comment about the victory screen is that it doesn't provide any stats about total casualties sustained by each side, VP totals, etc. This would be helpful for assessing gameplay. A ...

Quick update to my previous post. XII corps seems OK in Turn 14. Not sure what the issue was on Turns 12 and 13, not being able to select units for move or placement.

I applied the hotfix v1.02. No problems with game freeze so far. However, I am into Day 2 and cannot seem to do anything with Union XII Corps, either bringing back units or moving units on the map. This was for Turn 12 and again on Turn 13. I'm attaching some files; not sure which is the game save. ...

FOW for enemy units out of LOS should be an option in this PC game. An option to toggle a hex grid on/off would be nice. An option to toggle the in-game hints/tips on/off should be considered. I'd also suggest showing the time (ie, 2pm) instead of turn number at start of each round. First impression...
