Division D uneducated (Jewish 163-111 BC) beats Barrold713 (Pergamene 190-129 BC) 65-46% Rubicon I stood beside this general again, and when I stand, I stand beside a fast horse with 3 days of provisions. This is what I saw that day. The General woke terrified he would lose. The North and South were...

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here . . .

Between them and eternity lay only a river. Just an FYI as this was something I didn't fully understand until fairly recently...........all streams in the game counter Macedonian pikes and lancers to some extent. Your basic stream does not count as "open ground" which is required for the Deep Pike ...

Division D uneducated (Jewish 163-111 BC) defeated KiFi (Macedonian 320-261 BC) 60-41 The Battle of Swan Lake This general began his battle, like every battle, afraid and feeling he would lose. In this, he is usually right, though on this occasion, he was wrong. In his tent before the battle, he ins...

Not sure how feasible this exact idea would be, but it would certainly be useful if the battles were distinguished in some way.
It might be possible to even send a thumbnail of the battle map with the email.

QUESTION: Deriving troops from earlier battles

How easy would it be to derive from the outcome of your first battle the troops available for your second battle? If this is not too difficult, it would I think open huge possibilities for team play in tournaments. I think it must be to an extent built into the game already as you can see in Campaig...

SUGGESTION: Support Naming Battles

During Multi-Player, we receive an email notification: "random map". If playing many games, it would be helpful if we were able to name the battle, so that we gained a better idea of which battle it is just by looking at the subject line of the email. So, "Battle of the Marsh Horses" for example, wo...

Re: BUG: Game froze while Steam updating during multi-player

I was making moves during a PBEM and mid-move the game froze the screen. I could Alt-Tab to see the desktop but was stuck in the game, in the end needing to reboot system. And you say this was while STEAM was updating? And presumably you are using the STEAM version of FOG2? Yes, it was (unfortunate...

Though the issue has already been addressed, I thought I would keep interested people updated with the latest from another forum, 4chan, where CAPTCHA has been used (by Googlers I think) to destroy anonymity:

SUGGESTION: Sub-Forum Nesting Hierarchy

I think that the forum should follow the same principle when listing its sub-fora and sub-sub-fora. For example, from looking at the main forum page, one cannot see that there is a Panzer Corps 2 beta sub-forum, whereas from the same page, you can see that Empires has a beta sub-forum. Neither game ...

SUGGESTION: Battle GIFs

It would be nice to view the battle from start to finish as it unfurled, rather than just looking at it turn by turn. At the end of the battle, it would be nice if the game provided a giph animation of the battle as it proceeded from start to end, God's Eye View. The GIF could be created from the ga...

Re: QUESTION: Generals Everywhere?

Thanks, Paul59! The TT Mod is absolutely gorgeous and if anybody hasn't tried it yet, I highly recommend using it and admiring the artwork. Well done on finding the fix, too! Those units do not all have generals! This is merely a graphical issue with the current version of the TT Mod. I call it the ...

QUESTION: Generals Everywhere?

This shot was taken during the opponents movement phase (Multi-Player). The enemy seemed to have a General leading every unit. How might this have happened?

Thank you everybody for participating! There were some surprisingly good entries (and titles!). The winner is pinwolf with "The Vulture Roadside Picnic". This depiction of the Battle of Cunaxa through its aftermath was chosen for its profundity. The picture's focus is on the foreground, where there ...
