Huge amounts of money literally disappearing each turn -- help!
I'm playing as Egypt and I have a positive balance of 700 or so -- yet in 5 turns, i've gone from 12000 down to 2600 for no reason! No ruler has died, I'm not taking any events. I'm even selling metal each turn! Why is this happening? Is it a bug? I really wish there was a more accurate budget numbe...

Re: Future of Field of Glory: Empires - an appeal
Seconded to the nth degree. I am actually dismayed to hear they're designing a new a game -- I love this one and I was hoping for more excellent campaigns like Rise of Persia. It's such a novel setting and I was looking forward to playing as the Heraclian Byzantine Empire or some such underplayed er...

Great! I figured as much because the pharaoh names are pitch perfect. Looking forward to it and thanks for replying!
Keep it up. I am stoked for the next dlc -- this one was fantastic!

Is it really that hard to have actual Egyptian and Babylonian names for the generals?
Hey all -- love this game to death, but my incredibly immersive and entertaining run as Egypt is spoiled somewhat by all my generals having Persian names. It's just really lame and feels like something that would be very easy to fix. Ditto for Babylon. I would easily do it myself if I knew how -- is...

xpost from Steam -- You guys are losing customers by using this Vulkan graphics system -- I can run your old beta fine, but my laptop which is still able to run AAA games with great framerates can't even open this tiny 2GB game. I bought all your dlcs and I love your company dearly for Field of Glor...

My citizen pops keep moving around of their own accord, no matter how i assign them. Help!
My capital provinces of the vast Massalian empire are the only ones experiencing this issue. I'll put them on population or culture and they''ll all end up on commerce next turn. Why is this happening? How do I stop it?

Can the Egypt faction acquire mercenary hoplites in the Rising Falcon dlc?
As the title says -- the starting roster looks bare and the merc infantry appears to be a swordsman unit, yet the Saite dynasty was heavily reliant on Greek mercenary hoplite foot. Is it doable? I won't have time to test until tonight and I want to try a faction that has some meat to its roster!

Re: How would I change what units are converted to when importing a Field of Glory II battle?
It’s quite easy to do actually ! What I did is that I created a new scenario (modding the main game is not advised, the better thing to do is to create a new scenario and to play around with the files there) You can see how to do it there : http://archonwiki.slitherine.com/index.php/Empires_Modding...

How would I change what units are converted to when importing a Field of Glory II battle?
For instance, I love my campaign as Judea but regular, mercenary AND heavy infantry all convert to Thureophoroi when I import a battle into FOGII. I find this rather dull, and I want to switch it around so perhaps Judean heavy infantry are armored eastern foot or some such thing. How would I do that...

Re: Are the Etruscans perhaps a bit short-changed?
I think letting them have access to an elite infantry unit in the late army would be fair. It is ludicrous to think the army that gave the Romans such a bloody fight at Sentinum did not have some variety of royal guards or palace regiments.

Re: What do you hope to see added before Fog II ends?
I would like to see both Alexios' army at Dyrrachion and his post-Norman composite Komnenian army as genuinely tactically distinct. Can't wait for that, and can't wait to win the battle of Dyrrachion.

Re: The Arab vs. Sassanid Persian list feels absolutely perfect. (a thank you)
The TT Sassanid list is made even harder by your superior horse archers being not maneuverable and having to stand and take impacts at a disadvantage. I'll admit I was skeptical of having an army where basically the whole infantry body is superior grade but given the historical context and the effe...

The Arab vs. Sassanid Persian list feels absolutely perfect. (a thank you)
Having just finished a great Pen and Sword book on the military history of Heraclius and Yazdegerd's attempts to hold back the Muslims (War of the Three Gods) I needed some catharsis. I always identify with lost causes, and I must say my experience using the late Sassanid army vs the Conquest army o...

Re: Things we learned the hard way.
Charging Poorly Armed Rabble in rough terrain with skirmishers isn't as easy as one would think. If even you disorder them in the first contact, their massive unit strength will often allow them to recover unless you get lucky or overwhelm them with 3 or more skirmisher units. Overall, the Rabble un...

Re: Which Armies/Units would you like to see
Irregular foot need to be diversified like the TT mod does -- the base unit is ugly and somehow manages to look ahistorical in every single army list it is in.

Re: What do you hope to see added before Fog II ends?
Certainly more unit variety. That vanilla irregular foot unit is astoundingly ugly and looks ahistorical no matter what army it is in. I'd like to see Persian irregular foot with the takabara, Armenian irregular foot with spears and axes, etc, etc. Or really even just a remodeling of that unit. The ...
