Re: Order of Battle is coming to console!

This is a strange news. I'm not sure a lot of people on Playstation/Xbox are going to buy the game, but heh, you cannot know until you take the risk. But I don't mind OoB coming to console - why would I? I don't think it's going to "kill" the development of the game. And I don't think any already ex...

I'm not sure how to randomise it yet but am working on it and will post my findings in this sensational thread...:)
Please do! In the meantime I'll look into it as well.

Re: When?

- Random content in particular was on my TODO list for the sequel long before the development even started. Many games have it, and when they do, it works great and benefits the game most of the time. There is no reason why random maps work so well in Civ, but won't work just as well in a Panzer Co...

Re: Revisiting Order of Battle

And I've made liberal use of the Editor's 'Random Trigger' routines to ensure that a large proportion of each sides forces will be refreshingly different each time I play I didn't know such random triggers existed! Well actually I knew you could randomize some elements but I didn't know you could e...

Re: Revisiting Order of Battle

I'm still a relative newcomer to the mystical art of scenario building and am only creating semi-fictional maps and forces at the moment I'm always going for semi or completely fictional scenario... Allows more creative freedom (when it comes to the geography mostly) :) for example here's a British...

Re: Revisiting Order of Battle

Not trying to force you play OOB campaigns, but: You know you can play them as a string of linked single scenarios? (Just think of them as selected by OOB  ) And if you need extra resources to repair or purchase units at the start of a scenario, cheat :D Yes there are a zillion ways to play O...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9

I absolutely love the fact that random map against the AI are given such attention. It will be a very refreshing change from the usual "historical" scenarios/campaigns. I also agree with posters above about shadows: Since the beginning of the dev diairies, I found shadows to be a problem, they just ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #8

I can't wait! I love naval combat in strategy game. I'm very happy with support fire from disembarking ground units. I also like the idea tp have ships sharing their AA fire -- it works wonder in Order of Battle. Visually I hope ship will be a bit bigger -- planes look really big in comparison, and ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

Panzer Corps 2 is able to generate random maps of different sizes, and for any number of players from 2 to 8. These maps can be played both in single player and multiplayer mode. Random maps come in six primary types. This sounds excellent, this is all again very good news to me. A two-landmass map...

Looks great, any idea on a possible release date?

It has been confirmed that the game wouldn't release in 2018. I would guess it will release in second half of 2019.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #5

Panzer Strategy looks far less moddable and potentially more clunky than PzC2, so I think it will not take too much room from PzC2

Re: Victory or Death! Order of Battle: Endsieg has been announced!

I am really glad and excited about Endsieg, especially the hypothetical Western Front scenarios.
But I have one question: why isn't it called "Endkrieg"?

Re: Victory or Death! Order of Battle: Endsieg has been announced!

Oh great, another Deutschland über alles hypothetical, fantasy scenario. This follows along the lines of the idiotic Kriegsmarine scenario, where the German Navy, which wasn't even a threat to the GB Navy, let alone one joined by US naval forces, prevails. Are you people Nazis? You do realize that ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #5

I wish more devs would follow that route and release their game when it's ready and not when it makes sense commercially.

Take all the time needed to make PzC2 up to its promises!

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but is there any change of plan about the 2018 release ? Or is the game still to be released in 2018 ?

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3

So much things that are music to my ears! 1) AI made to work with Random maps in mind: I find this very cool and this will be a huge step forwards in terms of replayability. 2) Graphics: I like this approach very much! Units may be a bit too big for me but I've only seen screenshot so I reserve furt...

There are times when it's best not to update right away, or at all. With Steam, you have no choice.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's an option to toggle off auto-update in Steam, somewhere in the settings.
