Re: Emperor preserve us! The Tyranids are here!

The tyranids are such a cool race and addition to the game. However i do feel they are very underwhelming. I may be playing them wrong but playing against 7 of them on impossible is actually very easy.

Re: Space Marines need to be able to build more than one city

and with loyalty bonuses from chaplain and building you can get bonuses so enourmous that there is no need for another city. in the beginning try building more than one of each production facility to double your production speed.

Re: Kastelan Robots - any weaknesses?

so depends on how developed you are, by that stage you should be very powerful, AM has the best airforce in the game, that's a shame you haven't tried them, maurauders are fantastic :) anyhow, there is nothing wrong with using the basilisk, what you have to when using them is surrounding a commisar ...

he appears at around turn 100 or so, and he is not op, just a challenge, if one assumes to never lose a unit ever yes he is op :P

Re: Dreadnoughts need more armor

guys, this is not tabletop, directional armor does not apply. It has low armor for a space marine unit. Also only having a two tile range meaning it wont be your fire support and in range for all the enemy. And since its use in this game is melee, in which it packs a hella punch it should have some ...

Re: Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Post-release update

Terrific news :D It is already one of my favourite games. I suppose a timeframe would a little to soon to ask for? i also hope that i can participate in the beta again and help you with the process as it was really nice watching you guys work and change things :)

Re: Dreadnoughts need more armor

i will take devastators over dreadnoughts any day. dreadnoughts are paper, take an armory production slot and are slow. drop the multimeta and up armor a lot more

Re: Dreadnoughts need more armor

I know that the devs were worried in the beta about upping the armor of the dreadnought in fear of it becoming op, personally i think them pretty useless right now, and would rather it have lesser firepower but more staying power.

Re: destroying cities

To destroy cities you need units with high armor penetration, i personally think they are way to easy to kill right now. in the beta they had twice the hitpoints or so, and that was more challenging. devastators, dreadnoughts, upgraded predators, stormtalon/raven and terminators wreck cities. leman r...

Re: Sandstorm units

Wow lots of elitist and condenscending answers to UweBlietschau here, shame on you guys and moderators especially. Funny that the one who threw the first insult did not understand the subtle comeback from uwe. says more about them. Yes you have legitimate concerns, and they are indeed long in the co...

Re: Difficulty Levels are out of balance

Once again I buy your products thinking maybe the design team has been replaced and reasonable people have taken over. But no, that is not the case. Why do you have difficulty levels 4 and 5 when level 3 is impossible? I have been playing OOB since you sold the first copy and I always play at level...

Re: Explain like I'm five: supplies, top to bottom

Amazing, OldSpike. Thanks a lot. This supply system takes OOB above other turn based games. Gives it a rare strategical depth. Still on the subject: what units hurt supply? I know Strategic bombers do when hit depots. I don't remember, but paratroopers have a sabotage ability? How does it work? I'd...

Re: 21 cm Mrs 18 vs 17K 18

i used to go for the mrs 21 before, but when i discovered the range on the mrs 17 there was no turning back for me :) mobile arty is nice, but mostly only if they can be switched to at mode. else i feel they get way to exposed because of their generally shorter range. oh and considering the cost on ...

Re: Does anyone use strategic bombing?

You can argue for the subs also, some people actually manage to use them somewhat effective, and the developers did try to make them more effective with the kriegsmarine massive change, truth to be told on higher difficulties you can not afford to use them, there are close to no enemy fortified posi...

Re: Advice needed!!

The last 3 or 4 dlcs have been all about resource starvation mate, this means that you have to play slow, methodical, and don't buy units just to try them out. Basically, huge clusters of combines arm tactics, with lots and lots of infantry in front, at behind and arty behind them again, 30-50% figh...
