Is this game still being worked on?
Coming back after a long hiatus. Wanted to see what things had changed and what has been added. I don't see any activity beyond 2018.

What is the difference between the option to delete or permanently delete a ship design??
I'm confused between the option to delete or permanently delete a ship design. I'm afraid that if choose the permanently delete option, I'll delete that ship design such that it won't appear when I start a new game. Is that true? Also, when I delete a ship design, I want to carry over the name to th...

Re: research icon on planet...
Cool! Thanks, for the heads up! I did set those planets to innovation and will watch both planets more carefully and micromanage when necessary. Both planets also have a rare metal (starts with "R" I believe) so I have to see if I can take advantage of that also.

If you have windows 10, the window icon + PrtSc should work.

research icon on planet...
The one with the red nuclear icon not the flask icon. How do you take advantage of benefitting from that planet? Is it as simple as choosing innovation when colonizing such a planet? Also, are only some tech opened when you obtain a research point (again not talking about science points)?

It is just stability fixes
For GOG users, go to "View Downloads" then "More", you should see your serial key for the game. Either register the game on the Matrix Games website or wait til it is updated on GOG which may take a while.

Re: Lumens and Steam accounts
No. However, GOG has a deal with STEAM where some games are free (for a limited time and if you own the game on STEAM) if you also use GOG Galaxy (GOG's version of STEAM).

some questions
Is the PC version just the core game of the boardgame? It looks like there were a ton of expansions for the boardgame but only 2 mini expansions for the PC game. Also, can you create your own maps and scenarios?

Re: Recommended?
I did get it and it's a fine game. Recommended. I've played a ton of 4X games including Galactic Civilizations 1, 2, and 3; MOO 1, 2, and 3, but not 4; Armada 2526 Supernova; Sword of the Stars 1 and 2; Distant Worlds, and a lot more I've forgotten about over the years. Wow, I only played 6 of thos...

Re: Recommended?
You should just get both. They are both good games, and of course you can never have too many 4X games! I may have derailed the topic by mentioning my choosing between the 2 but the OP just wanted to know if Polaris was right for him. I know you were also deciding whether to get Polaris. Have...

Pirates at my doorstep
Pirates have appeared in my sector of space. At this time, I've colonized 9 planets but have only 1 scout ship and I recently produced a Strike Corvette. Unfortunately this will do diddly squat against a fleet of "many" ships. Strangely though, the pirates have demanded nothing. It has jus...

Re: Wormholes
Aww, that is a shame. It would have been awesome if the wormholes behaved differently according to color (and for us to figure out their behavior). I've discovered 2 white wormholes but not wanting to deal with aliens, have not gone through them.

Re: Recommended?
I recently bought the game and have been playing for a couple of days now. I was deciding between Polaris and Distant Worlds. Distant Worlds had the advantage of all DLCs included, all major kinks worked out, excellent mod capability, and decent back story (you learn more about the world as you expl...

Re: Mods
I just bought this game and was wondering if the game change will be permanent if I install the Star Wars mod. The only other time I've installed a mod was with CIV IV and I was able to switch between playing regular Civ and the mod.
