Re: How is the cost of reinforcement calculated?
Yes the cost of replenishing unit from 9 to 10 always the most costly because units strength actually in float number. 1 point = 0.01 ~ 1 2 point = 1.01 ~ 2 .... 9 point = 8.01 ~ 9 10 point = 9.01 ~ 10 You see, unable to reinforce with 10-point unit means all the weight down to 9-point one. It can c...

Re: Australian Engineer 41
Australian Engineer '43,'44,'45 are missing Sadly we have no chance to face them in Euro theatre, after 1942 Canada started mobilized army to become the 4th largest at the time, outnumber the whole commonwealth except for British. But if i remember correctly, the last battle as Japan took place in ...

Re: Clarification of Terrain Affect on Combat
The nerft in attack stats of both attacker and defender seems to be logic as the attacker stats decrease further. Both side casualty must be lower than a direct assault in plain. About cover percentage i believe is the decrease of attacker in case of artillery/bomber. For me the mysterious attack mo...

Normal Engineer of all factions, all years having only 4 speed, except for the Australian 41 one having 6 speed. Literally the strongest units in game now

Re: infantry units!
It’s mostly due to tactic (player), units combination (player) and supply situation (dependable). Unit experience matters much too, it reflects the battlefield accurately while the german gains advantage earlier and the allies latter. The head-on between 2 regular infantry divisions, same experience...

Re: German 20 mm Flak 38
You wont use it, an useless reward. It can make some shoot with transport, but becoming too expensive and cp wasted. Moreover, you don’t engage defensive mission until 1942 panzerkrieg, then there’s little room for towed support units except lovely 88s. One solution could be to reduce the CP of thi...

Re: A DLC about a fictional Axis invasion of the USA
It won’t be much different than west part of endsieg, but happening in British and US. Let 1945 is stop gap, i really want to extend the afrika campaign to south USSR (re-enable Blaue campaign) or invasion of India. Like the original Afrika Korp in PC. Or Sea Lion Or Japanese march on Burma/India. A...

Re: Panzercorps 2 vs. Order of Battle
First, i want to inform that i love both PC & OoB, then there will be no flame here. (2000h in OoB, 750h in PC and 300h in PC2) I like OoB more, but i understand most ppl will pick PC2 for deeper and more interesting mechanic. OoB is just much more replayable with me, like playing chess. Mostly ...

Re: FUTURE of ORDER OF BATTLE
Indochina and Korea war are suitable. The fact is, both side mostly used equipments from WW2 era, except for air battles of first gen jet at Korea sky. But Indochina war is, well, unblanced. Vietnam side had merely no armor, aircraft and long range arty. Mechanic about capturing enemy weaponry and +...

Re: On balance of BK/PK/ES campaigns
I didnt throw myself to the hardest difficulty, there's no game that gives player abundant resources at hardest. Some of my first runs, i engaged the short of RPs, which leave me just around 100 before starting. Then, i realized that i didn't play the way OoB should be. 1, BK scenarios mostly depend...

Re: Attack or Defend?
Offensive forces can concentrate their firepower to limited front, but expose themself to flanking counter-attack. So, i like most when playing counter-offensive scenarios. The most boring is when i must continously fall back, then is to continously penetrate bunkers & minefields. AI does surpri...

Re: Next Generation OOB: suggestions re Efficiency, Concealment, and yes--Combat
The current method of naval units being sitting ducks is worse than this. Just dropping proficiency drastically after each attack would solve the issue: the first OpFire will be on point, the successive ones will be more and more ineffective. Then naval battles will be much much longer than it shou...

Re: What are you cooking ?
After thousand hours in OoB, i think the best move is focusing in OoB 2 instead of more fictional ahistorical campaigs or division level/minor countries. The best news i want is OoB2 is in progress. No theatres left for now, we even have ahistorical line to follow, contents are drained badly. New me...

Re: Next Generation OOB: suggestions re Efficiency, Concealment, and yes--Combat
Bro, ground units have many weakness to exploit. Efficiency, supply line and flank mechanic. Your regular units can flank and cut off King Tiger without much calsualties, without fighting to die. All of those methods don’t exist in naval battle right ? Not to say combine unit, support fire, entrench...

Re: Next Generation OOB: suggestions re Efficiency, Concealment, and yes--Combat
Interestingly, in the early versions of OOB naval units would return fire when attacked. I wish the devs would reactivate that functionality. I dont beleive that a battleship can return fire to all attacked ships in every direction simultinously with maximum firepower. That makes no sense bro. If d...

Re: Next Generation OOB: suggestions re Efficiency, Concealment, and yes--Combat
The idea of different efficiency by exp stars are surprising. Fresh units can recovery only 4 eff/turn but 3 stars is 7 and at 5 stars, 50% to regain 1 eff/turn without resting ? I mean we should have more kinds of reward for elite units. Like aircrafts can last longer, tanks increase percentage to ...

Re: Efficacy of WaffenSS Spec?
The best about SS is that they always have constant CP in every missions. Some small missions or when you must wait for reinforcement, SS proves to be a solid force in battlefield. So what units for SS ? AT and Arty of course, they have very same power as normal Wehrmacht. Medium tanks are ok then i...

Re: Supply (AO 1944 Operation Margarethe)
It’s definitely a flaw in supply mechanic. Infinity supply for a single supply hex. So a completely encirclement is needed all the way. For me it’s ridiculous and OoB has far more complete supply mechanic with visible supply line. But its understandable in PC2, just think how easy to totally cut off...

Re: “H” version of the FW190 and Me109K?
It’s (H)igh altitude mode. Normally fighters are easily target for low caliber AAs for its “low altitude” trait. And it’s must be so unrealistic. Of course in that mode, they can’t attack ground unit. Suddenly i have idea about change armanents mechanic (like torpedo/bomb mode in OoB) while resupply...
