Re: Pocus - Medieval Empires?!?
April 2nd is the 1275th anniversary of birth of Carolus Magnus, also known as Charlemagne, King of the Franks and Lombards and Emperor of the Romans. I can think of no finer date to announce the new game. Emperor of the Romans ?! :?: :?: :?: He was as emperor as a prince is the Nigerian w...

Re: Opponent stops playing
They do exist but did not often take effect in previous (Ancients) tournaments because they only kicked in if the player played less than 12 turns. The current Medieval tournament has that set to 24 turns. What should happen, therefore, if your opponent has ceased to play, is that you will score 75...

Re: Hotseat
With live and asynchronous multiplayer, and hotseat modes available, there’s no excuse not to take your friends...
May I ask what the live multiplayer means? Am I right to suppose that there will be a non-Pbem multiplayer mode?
Or it is just my wish?

Re: A suggestion
I know it is late to change anything for the in-game mechanics. But I want to share an opinion about how the multiplayer experience can become better. I love the game, but I have caught myself avoiding multiplayer, playing only the campaigns. Why? Because most of my games, there is a hill and someo...

That is a great idea and would indeed solve the problem of corner sitting but It would also effect the choice of armies.
Thanks guys!

Re: A suggestion
The battlefield itself was the objective in Ancient Warfare, was not it? From a propaganda point of view, perhaps, in a drawn battle, but in reality the objective was to put the enemy to flight, and kill as many as possible in the pursuit, to stop them from reforming as a cohesive force. I can not ...

Re: A suggestion
The game mode 'Advance Guard' already contains most of what you are looking for. Currently it suffers from two small drawbacks: 1) Force selection is mostly automatic, I think you only get to decide what units to buy for a small fraction of your points, the rest is pre-selected. and 2) The game pla...

Re: A suggestion
Thanks for the answer, Richard.
The battlefield itself was the objective in Ancient Warfare, was not it?
But I fully understand the difficulties of a suggestion like this.
I hope in the future (FoG III ? ) you will be able to find a way to force the players to give the battle.

Re: A suggestion
Thanks for the replies, but the point of the post was not how I could play the way I like. This was an idea how a game about tactical battles will force the players to give a battle.

Geffalrus, My answer is no; sadly, they are not better. Prof: The Byzantine Infantry of the 10th century. In reality, these boys and their mixed formation was a big reason behind the success of the byzantine armies of Nikiforos Fokas, John Tzimisces, and Basil II. In-game terms...I am sure you know....

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
We will make an announcement once everything is finalised but it will be about general systems and not details. Partly as these could help people to game the system and partly as they are going to be subject to change without notice. The issue is as we're reviewing different games there are differe...

No emails for MP games
Hello,
While I receive without problem emails when my opponent plays his turn in other Slitherine's games (eg. Field of Glory 2), I do not receive them in Sanctus Reach. Do I have to do something about this ?
