Re: At what time should you be content with your (infantry) unit(s) heroes?

I wouldn't get too hung up on it tbh. Mind you, I do get annoyed enough to reload if I get a spotting hero on my tanks... -_- Perhaps consider specialising them based on the heroes you're getting. The +2 def could maybe be a more useful defensive infantry unit, god knows you'll need them in the late...

Re: Tricks and Tips

On a whim, I started up the GC again. I lost my save when I moved on to a new computer way back when. I just finished 1939, I was taking in some tips from here and elsewhere on the forums. Normally I disband the initial A/T unit, but this campaign I've decided to try and utilise it. I'm also trying ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4

Yeah, 'unit slots'/'supply slots' just sounds a bit odd? A better term would be beneficial.

I'm not against it just being a point-value thing either. But I get what the purpose is, and I'll wait and see how it's implemented. :)

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #2

Content and play modes Big branching campaigns with lots of interconnected scenarios and unit carry over have always been a signature feature of this genre, and they will remain the key feature of Panzer Corps 2. The initial release will feature a brand new Wehrmacht campaign that will be a middle ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1

Fab, great to hear some news. Air mechanic makes sense now that it's been explained a bit. I'm looking forward to the naval changes too. Still got my fingers crossed for a grand campaign though. :P One thing I'd like to hear more about is the balance between certain units. I remember a lot of people...

So how factual is this article, and how is the game going to work?

Specifically: https://www.wargamer.com/articles/panzer-corps-2-release-date-news-information-everything/ A lot of it reads like dull promotional blurbs: 450 units! Woo-hoo? But it's the bottom bit that worries me, under the 'DLC Model' 1. Taking inspiration from paradox I hope not... I'm aware Parad...

Re: How to deal with exponential player growth? (soft cap, e

Army points cost maybe?

Or a hard cap on certain units. I'd rather not have to deal with the thousand tanks of death that the USSR can throw at the end of the GC to counter-act strong core armies. :P

Re: Welcome and Q&A

Which will be the differences between Panzer Corps 2 and Order of Battle ? It's impossible to fully answer this question without referencing Panzer Corps 2 feature list, which has not been announced yet. Once more information is released, this question will answer itself. As a sequel to Panzer Corp...

Re: A new story begins... Panzer Corps 2 has been announced!

So, this remains Turn based right? We're not going to go all action-flash, company of heroes, boom boom or anything like that? >_> Also, I am really keen to see how you guys are going to handle the campaigns. I was a massive fan of the Grand Campaigns, they were fantastic but had a lot of untapped p...

Oh man seriously? You have to do BOTH east and west for Grand Campaigner? @_@

Screw it, I'll do it next year. >_>

Seems daft. They should patch an options file for it tbh.

I need to start the GC again. =/

But then we'd have to fight in Stalingrad again and that was torture.

Re: Any discount on Panzer Corps Gold

We don't have a way to discount the Gold version based on how many parts you own unfortunately. Its quite a complex problem to solve and would take significant design and development time. Huh? Not even on Steam? I thought they had the option available for publishers to do that. Or I might be think...

Re: Game(s) like PC and OOB

Hmm.. Gog has the original Panzer General (2) along with Fantasy General I think. There's a Polish/Russian spiritual successor to Fantasy General, called Fantasy Wars, which is on Steam and isn't too bad. I think the problem is the PC/OOB genre is a niche within the strategy niche. Everything beyond...

Re: Steam Achievements

Eh but Berlin is a win scenario... Hrm... I'll go try the Allied Dispute now and see if it pops. Well, what do you know... It actually popped. Go figure! Thanks Rork. (Also the American one popped... Which is a surprise but a bit of a bugger as I was going to do a replay for that anyway just to see...

Re: Steam Achievements

Did you get triumphs all throughout the campaign? If, for instance, you ended at Berlin West, it may not count for the achiev to unlock - just a thought. Nope. I missed one DV, I think it was D-Day. But the achievement description doesn't give me any indication it should be a string of decisive vic...
