This happens to me in both ancients and medieval beta, but not release versions. It does not happen in either the force comp or deployment phase, only once the game has started. I have a GeForce RTX 2070 Super.

Good points, some minor additions - 'Best Equipped Cavalry' in Medieval can evade despite having Lance. Infantry cannot break off from Elephants, but cavalry can; so depending on the angle/the tiles behind them, they may be able to break off and get away if there is another friendly unit nearby tha...

Terrain Display Bug in Beta versions

In both the Ancients and Medieval betas, odd visual bugs happen when moving units through terrain such as BUAs (which turn green or gray), forests (which some trees change colors) roads (which show weeds) etc. etc. This is only in the beta versions. kronenblatt reports the same.

Speaking of army lists, I noticed in some of snuggle's videos that he mentions that Huns don't do well in multiplayer. Is there a good source of multiplayer stats by army? I start out by trying to destroy their lights, but it takes so many turns, since the lights all evade. Hmm I haven't made a guide video on cavalry yet, but you can find plenty of videos of me or opponents using cavalry armies on my channel. This was to boost catas a bit in general, and to reflect their seeming tendency to engage rather more willingly in extended melees than other cavalry. Knights don't need the boost frankly, and in any case seemed to charge in and out quite often.

That is literally what I did and got the 36/57 timeout. Not to be rude, but I really doubt that RNG alone can account for an 8 turn and 30 rout % difference. For force comp, I maxed out on massed missile units and ribauds, and only then grabbed a few maa. I immediately dismounted all of my maa, tho...

I don't think it should matter at all if added to the existing pike units, as Lancer and Sword canceling as done by Spear/Pike units is already dependent on the units being Steady. If the 80% pike 20% HW unit is steady, it essentially acts as if it is 100% Pike, except with negating 10 Armor Advanta...
