Re: Expansions and Dynamic campaigns with core units and level up
I think Slitherine's own Battle Star Galactica engine would make a better WW2 dogfighting game, and sequel to CY6, even though it would not resemble the table top game. It would be the direction to go. The engine is a hit. Just needs a WW2 conversion.

Re: The Mecha mystery use
To make the M113 valuable, and a little different without changing their strength or combat balance allow them to carry 2 payloads. So artillery load out and supplies, or a mounted infantry platoon and supplies. Don't know if this is too complicated in the engine. To me ground convoys can carry a to...

This would make a great strategy layer
Slightly O/t. But the VN65 engine is simple yet detailed enough that it would be excellent if adapted as a strategy layer for a tactical squad/platoon based game, like Team Assault, Close Combat, combat mission, squad assault, or theatre of war, that type of scale of game. Every time an infantry pla...

You can always find the enemy if you have green berets. Keep them patrolling and moving about as an early warning system or spotters for the zoomies, gunships, and arty.

I was very surprised to see when I checked the cas report I suffered about as many casualties as the enemy. I never completely lost a unit, not one, and always medevac my injured units to t...

Re: Enemy movement / contacts
This is an important point, when VC are involved in a contact they will allways disban, they lose cohesion as they are not regular forces, the running away is just an animation, which I think I am going to take out as players seem to get frustrated at they think the VC actually move like that in th...

VC running across the map to get away
I am having fun with this little game. But I noticed why I can never corner an enemy that has broken contact. There is no point even trying to vector in on them. One game I had the map very stacked with my units at regular intervals doing their thing. My Arvn platoon made contact, took casualties, a...
